Built on a Lifetime in the Automotive Industry

Owner Paul Bartsch brings decades of hands-on experience to the shop. His journey in the automotive world started early, growing up in an environment where cars and customer service were part of everyday life. That early exposure sparked a lifelong interest that led him to formally train as a mechanic and build a career working with major manufacturers like Ford and Chevy.

Over the years, he took on multiple roles, from technician to leadership positions, gaining a well-rounded understanding of both vehicle repair and shop operations. Before moving to Colorado, he successfully owned and operated auto centers in the Chicago area for more than two decades. In 1998, he made the move to the mountains, drawn by both the lifestyle and the opportunity to bring high-quality automotive service to a growing community.

Growing with the Community

Since opening Avon Auto & Truck in 2010, our mission has been toprovide reliable, professional auto care that customers can trust. As the business grew, so did our commitment to expanding our services. In 2019, we opened a second location, Alpine Tire, in Glenwood Springs, CO, allowing us to serve even more drivers across the region.
